HOW TO PLAY
To participate in The Psychedelic Cup, growers must purchase a Psychedelic Cup Grower Ticket ($35), which grants them the opportunity to submit their mushrooms for evaluation and consideration in the competition. After that, each sample will be $40 paid at the time of submission to Altitude Consulting.
Up to five (5) official samples may be submitted by each Grower.
The Rules

Growers must be 21+ to Enter

Growers must purchase a Psychedelic Cup Grower Ticket to submit.

Each Grower Ticket ($35) will come with an anonymous ID Code that must be submitted to the Lab with each Official Sample. This 4 or 5 Digit Code can be located on your Multipass tickets and website beginning August 14th.

Official Samples must be received during the Submission Period from August 7th, 2023, until October 17th, 2023.

All Official Samples must be hand-delivered to Altitude Consulting at 3262 S Platte River Dr, Englewood, CO 80110.

Official Sample Results will NOT be released to the Growers until after the Awards Ceremony on November 2nd, 2023.

There will be NO consumption-based judging and no consumption of cannabis or other substances permitted at Mile High Station.

Growers will be permitted to submit five (5) Official Samples.

Growers must pay the Official Sample Testing Fee ($40), per sample, up to a total possible testing cost of $200 for all five (5) samples, at the time of Submission.

Each Official Sample Submission must be accompanied by an official Submission Chain of Custody form, provided by Altitude Consulting at the time of sample submission.

Growers must select whether they will be considered for the Cubensis or Non-Cubensis categories. All submission photographs will be anonymously published for transparency.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

Each sample must contain at least three (3) Grams of Fully Dried fruiting bodies Containing a Stem and Cap. For Blob Mutations, Provide Whole Clusters. Official Samples will be rejected if they are found to violate this rule. No ground material will be permitted.

Altitude Consulting uses liquid chromatography to test the potency of the most common psychedelic substances. The 7-panel potency test covers the following compounds:

Each Official Sample Submission must be accompanied by an official Submission Chain of Custody form, provided by Altitude Consulting, which will request the following information about each sample submitted:

Genetic Producer (Company Name, if known)

Innoculant (Spore/Liquid Culture/Other)

Growing Method (All-in-One Bag/Monotub/Other)

Grow Equipment Supplier (Company Name, if known)

Grain or Colonizing Medium (popcorn, rye berries, etc.)

Bulk Substrate Used (manure, coco, etc.)

Nutrients Added (if any)

Harvest Date

Drying Method (Dehydration, freeze dry, etc.)

Storage Method Prior to Sample Submission

Samples submitted for testing will NOT be returned to submitters.

Growers must select whether they will be considered for the Cubensis or Non-Cubensis categories. Only winning samples will have genetic testing performed, free of charge.

All winning samples will have genetic testing performed (at no charge) to confirm species.

Official Sample Results and photographs will be anonymously published on, or before, November 2nd, 2023.
